www.ladbrooks.com – The Premiership table has been left with a remarkable look about it after this week’s round of fixtures both at the top and the bottom of the table.

Manchester United’s last gasp 90th minute winner away at Bolton has left the reigning English and European champions once again at the top of the pile by the odd point over Liverpool with them both having played 21 games. Chelsea won 2-1 but they also left it very late in their home game against Stoke City with them scoring twice in the last two minutes to perhaps keep Scolari in a job and keep the title race wide open as we enter February.

Aston Villa who was reduced to ten men in their away game at Sunderland managed to overcome the odds to record a priceless 2-1 victory with Barry scoring the winner from the spot with ten minutes to go.
Hull City’s wheels look to well and truly have come off big style after they lost 3-1 at home to Arsenal making it five defeats on the bounce in the league and now have them only six points from the drop zone.

Sam Allardyce came up against his old team Newcastle at Ewood Park and he left the happier after his side comprehensively beat his old side 3-0 and it could well have been more. The excitement for the neutral at the minute must be at the bottom of the table with no fewer than five teams all sharing 21 points with Tottenham (who drew 1-1 with Portsmouth), Blackburn, Middlesbrough (who lost 3-0 at West Brom), Stoke City and West Brom all looking to get out of that danger zone before the pressure really starts.

Money bags Man City who have been interested in a lot of players recently overcame Wigan 1-0 at Eastlands to finally put a smile on manager Mark Hughes face.
