First we had the Cricket teams home test defeat to South Africa last year coupled with the Rugby Union’s national sides dismal showing in the six nations tournament last year and after new coaches and Captains running both sides I have to say NOTHING has improved and especially in the Crickets team’s case they have gone backwards and look like a side now that anybody in the World can now beat and that includes Bangladesh!
After the disastrous collapse of England’s batsmen in the 1st test on their current tour of the West Indies when they handed the match on a plate to the home side after being bowled out for 51 in the 2nd innings then they had the comedy 2nd test which was abandoned after 10 balls after the pitch was too dangerous they still had three test matches to save themselves but after watching the drawn 3rd test match where England just needed 1 more wicket to win they went and dropped the only bowler (Steve Harmison) who in my eyes is the only bowler capable of getting through the West Indies batsmen and replaced him with Ryan Sidebottom who is not even 100% fit! And when you add Freddie Flintoff’s injury keeping him out of this test and the next one it makes the decision look very strange indeed and in future backing England in both sports to lose may well be an easy money earner and a 5-0 Ashes whitewash to the Aussies beckons. www.ladbrooks.com
