Living darts legend Phil Taylor returned to his devastating best with a superb performance to defeat nemesis Raymond van Barneveld in the World Grand Prix final.

The Power romped to a dominant 6-2 victory in Dublin leading him to become odd-on favourite for the PDC World Championships at the end of the year.

The man from Stoke is as short as 4/7 with some odds makers to win back his world crown for the 14th time.

Despite his excellent form of late the odds-on price available about the player, who is set to retire in around two years, is not attractive in anyway. If the world championship has taught us anything in the last few years it is that it has become wide open with anyone from the top 10 can triumph.
