It was certainly a race to remember at the Japanese GP, weather conditions for the race were just abysmal and it has been reported that Nick Heidfeld felt that the race should have never been started in the first place as the weather conditions were just too wet and the visibility was just too poor, for racing at Fuji. It certainly did make for a very exciting race, with Lewis Hamilton standing on top of the podium once again after coming in first place at the Japanese GP. Lewis who is the current title leader in the Drivers Championship, took a supreme victory in just atrocious conditions and has now opened up a 12 point margin over his team mate Fernando Alonso who sensationally crashed out of this race. Lewis Hamilton has described this as the longest race of his life, it just seemed to go on and on he said, but he still managed to come through several near misses unscathed to win this amazing race and he is possibly just seven days away of clinching the world championship on his first ever attempt.

Fernando Alonso has admitted that the title is now slipping away from him and it is now within Lewis Hamilton’s grasp, after the events at the Japanese GP. It is not over until it is truly over, and mathematically Alonso is still in with a chance, as you never know what is going to happen in Formula 1 races and nest weekends race is set to be a show stopper. But it has no doubt been a very unlucky weekend for Alonso and he now needs a retirement from Lewis with a mechanical problem or something to be in with a chance of winning the title, if the last two races are normal and Lewis finishes them, then it is over for Alonso. What will happen at next weeks race in China? Will Lewis Hamilton win the championship, or will it all come down to the last race in Brazil for the battle of the Championship title? I for one will defiantly be watching.
