The Grand National 2007 Winners
January 23, 2008The John Smiths’s Grand National is the best Steeplechase Race in the World and Silver Birch, who was a 33-1 outsider won the 2007 Grand National in great style and finally utilized his full potential that he showed earlier on in his career. This was a dream come true for his trainer Gordon Elliot, and at only 29 he was the youngest trainer in the race. The Winning Jockey was Robert Power and he is the son of legendary show jumper Con Power. 40 Horses and Riders started this famous Race and only 13 made it to the finish line, 7 riders were unseated, 12 were pulled up and 6 Horses fell. The Grand National 2008, is set to be another show stopper, who will be the next winner of the best steeplechase in the world? We will just have to wait and see!
